Am Vorabend des Zweiten Weltkrieges: Rick Leland, Hauptmann der amerikanischen Armee, wird unehrenhaft aus dem Staatsdienst entlassen. Grund genug für den feindlichen japanischen Spionagedienst, ihn für seine Dienste anzuwerben. Jedoch ahnen die imperialistischen Asiaten nicht, daß sie sich mit Leland ein trojanisches Pferd eingehandelt haben. Der Amerikaner steht weiterhin im Dienste seiner Nation und will jetzt im Lager des Gegners planmäßig seinem wahren Auftrag nachkommen: Er soll die Sprengung des Panama-Kanals verhindern.
