Aufrechte Haltung, fester Blick: Nessa Stein (Oscar®-Nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal) ist nach außen eine taffe Geschäftsfrau in London. Vor knapp 30 Jahren wurde ihr Vater vor ihren Augen von einem palästinensischen Attentäter ermordert. Damals galt die Stein Group als "Das Schwert Israels" und stellte für die Verteidigung des noch jungen Staates Waffen her. Nach dem Motto - Terror stirbt mit Reichtum - strukturierte Nessa das Familiengeschäft allerdings in ein friedfertiges Unternehmen um, das mit Breitband internet die palästinensischen Gebiete wirtschaftlich voranbringen will. Doch Abgründe tun sich auf und die dunklen Geheimnisse ihrer Vergangenheit katapultieren Nessa mitten in das tödliche Netz des Nahost-Konflikts.
