The Sword of Doom
Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts verbreitet in der japanischen Provinz der ebenso verschlagene wie hochtalentiere Samurai Ryunosuke schlechte Stimmung, indem er wahllos mordet und, was schwerer wiegt, bei einem Turnier den Meister Utsuki tötet, obwohl doch zuvor dessen Sieg vereinbart war. Während sein Vater ihn verstößt und Utsukis Sohn auf Rache sinnt, flieht Ryunosuke mit der Frau seines Opfers in die Provinz und verdingt sich fortan in einer Mörderbande, die den Sturz des Shogunats betreibt.
