The Prince and the Pauper
Im England des 16. Jahrhunderts trifft der Junge Tom zufällig auf den Kronprinzen Edward. Beide stellen fest, dass sie sich zum Verwechseln ähnlich sehen und wollen vorübergehend die Rollen tauschen. Als Betteljunge wird Edward aus dem Palast gejagt, während Tom dort während eines Balls unfreiwillig für Komik sorgt. Edward trifft den Ex-Soldaten Miles Hendon, der ihn unter seine Fittiche nimmt und ihn mit der harschen Realität im Königreich vertraut macht. Als Edwards Vater Heinrich VIII. stirbt, soll Tom an Edwards Stelle zum König gekrönt werden.
