The Honorary Consul
In der argentinischen Stadt Corrientes stehen Gewalt, Intrigen und Verrat an der Tagesordnung. Hier lebt der Arzt Eduardo Plarr, der eines Tages den britischen Honorarkonsul Charley Fortnum kennen lernt und mit dessen Gattin eine Affäre beginnt. Eduardo versucht, Informationen über den Verbleib seines vermissten Vaters zu bekommen und erfährt schließlich, dass die Guerillas einen Anschlag auf den amerikanischen Botschafter planen, dann jedoch den Falschen, nämlich den Honorarkonsul, entführen.
