Sleeping with the Enemy
Auf den ersten Blick sind Laura und Martin Burney das ideale Paar. Aber das scheinbar harmonische Leben im Traumhaus am Strand trügt - Martin ist ein unberechenbarer Psychopath, der seine Frau seelisch und körperlich brutal mißhandelt. Verzweifelt schmiedet Laura Fluchtpläne. Bei einer Segelpartie sieht sie ihre letzte Chance: Laura erleidet einen "tödlichen Unfall" und flieht in eine weit entfernte Kleinstadt. Dort soll ihr neues Leben anfangen. Sie lernt Ben kennen, zu dem sie behutsam Vertrauen faßt. Doch Martin hat Lauras Trick durchschaut. Von ihrer kranken Mutter erfährt er ihren Aufenthaltsort. Mit Psychoterror versucht Martin, Laura in Panik zu versetzen...
