Als virtuoser Pianist, Entertainer in Las Vegas und Superstar der pompösen Shows lag ihm weltweit ein Millionenpublikum zu Füßen. Auf der Bühne und im Privaten erhob er Luxus und Glamour zu seinem Lebensstil. Lange Pelzmäntel, glitzernde Kostüme, goldene Kerzenständer und massenhaft teurer Schmuck waren seine Markenzeichen. Mehrere Rolls-Royce zählten zu seinem Fuhrpark, alleine 39 Flügel schmückten seine private Villa. Alles gab es im Überfluss - und er selber sagte einmal: „Too much of a good thing is wonderful“.
